Arce &#8217;70 to be inscribed in the Bantayog ng mga Bayani"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Bantayog ng mga Bayani on December 9 will honor nine men and women for the courage they showed in opposing, at great risk to their lives, the dictatorial government of the late Ferdinand Marcos &#8217;37. Among the nine honorees is Merardo T. Arce &#8217;70, who will be recognized together with Haydee Yorac and Jaime Cardinal Sin among others.<\/p>\n<p>Ceremonies honoring the nine martyrs and heroes will be held on December 9, 3:30 p.m., at the Bantayog ng mga Bayani shrine at the corner of EDSA and Quezon Avenue. The rites will include the unveiling of a section of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arkibongbayan.org\/2005-09Sept20-Bantayog\/list\/P9204426.JPG\" >Wall of Remembrance<\/a> on which the names of the nine have been inscribed, adding them to 142 illustrious names which include brods <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arkibongbayan.org\/2005-09Sept20-Bantayog\/list\/list1.jpg\">Armando J.
